Joachim Matschoss is a writer, director and teacher of theatre from Germany, now living in Melbourne/Australia. He has published several collections of poetry. His poetry has been published in many magazines and e zines. He is the writer of more than twenty plays, as well as book and lyrics for musical theatre and has written a novel in 2006. His plays have been performed in Germany, Australia, Canada, England and the USA.

'Alone is Bliss' performed in hamburg in November 2009.
The literary journal 'Away with me' has now been released in Australia. (more...) Village with no daughters’ performed in northern England in August 2009, in Winnipeg in October 2009 and in Melbourne in September 2010. (more...) ‘Chain of Dreams’ performed in Melbourne in October 2009. ‘Internal Shame’ performed in the UK in November 2009 An adaptation of Romeo and Juliet, merging Hamlet and As You Like it, performed on a world tour in December 2009/January 2010. Joachim is currently working on ‘Hell is other people’, borrowing from Jean Paul Sartre’s ‘No exit’. This book will be a meditation on solitude and will be released in late 2010 or early 2011. He also teamed up with friend and poet Terry McDonagh for a book on football with the working title ‘kicking around’. A new play ‘Memory sticks’ will be performed in Canada in march 2010 and the play ‘Same day Service’ in Melbourne in June 2010. New Poetry Collection: The Hour of the Wolf (published in August 2007). Joachim and award winning photographer Jesse Marlow teamed up to observe what happens in their hometown of Melbourne in the hours of the wolf, between 5 and 7am. (more ...)
